My dissertation research focuses on Japanese adaptations of Euro/American literature in manga, television, film, and embodied experiences. More broadly, I am interested in adaptation, transnational/global media, historical re/interpretation, and fan studies, especially in relation to marginalized, under-represented, or otherwise unintended audiences.
