Biography

Ilana Emmett is a Lecturer in the department and a project manager. Her research focuses on daytime soap operas on television and radio, disability and television, and global popular media. Her work has been published in the Journal for Cinema and Media Studies and in Radio Journal. She has a B.A. in Cinema and Media Studies from the University of Chicago, an M.A. in Film and Television Studies from the University of Warwick in the U.K., and a Ph.D. from Northwestern University in Screen Cultures. She has also worked in film and television production.
