Biography

Situated at the intersection of media history, biomedical sciences, and disability studies, my research explores the conditions of (im)possibility and manifold processes through which human sensorium co-evolve with media technologies, with a particular emphasis on the sociocultural constructions of sensory sensitivity, disorder, and overload from the late-19th century to the present. Besides cinema, I am also actively engaged with a variety of mediums, ranging from optical toys to motion photographs, writing systems, juridical operations, digital currencies, and artificial intelligence.
