Biography

Desiree graduated with a PhD from the University of Potsdam, where she was advised by Birgit Schneider (Potsdam) and Sha Xin Wei (Arizona State University). Her thesis “Aesthetic Experience of Metabolic Processes” was published in March 2021. Before, she graduated with an MA in Media Studies at the University of Düsseldorf and a BA in Philosophy/Comparative Literature at the Ruhr University Bochum. She also worked as a program assistant for the Haus der Kulturen der Welt (House of World Cultures, HKW in Berlin) and as a curator in Berlin.
